 The Rankin Institute is pleased to offer a four-part parenting series which will provide practical strategies for families dealing with learning disabilities, ADHD, or other typical parenting challenges.

Presenters

Dr. Trey Ishee provides psychotherapy to children, families and parents.  His training, research, and practice has focused on ADHD, parenting, disruptive behavior disorders, anger management, and child and adolescent depression.  Dr. Ishee is an advocate of a strength-based approach to treatment which emphasizes empowerment and problem solving.  Dr. Ishee is also a member of the (CAIS) testing program for admission to some of Charlotte’s premiere private schools.

 

Dr. Cheryl Courtlandt is currently a faculty general pediatrician in the Department of Pediatrics at Levine Children's Hospital of Carolinas Medical Center.  She has previously served as a faculty member at New York University Medical Center and Albert Einstein - Montefiore Medical Center in New York City.  Her research interests are asthma, attention deficit, learning differences and quality improvement.  She has lectured on various topics to both parents and professionals in the region.
